Welcome to the Long Days of Summer! June is Here...

In the Northern Hemisphere, June has the longest daylight hours of the entire year. I am hoping that's a good thing for me as I have so much going on. First, a quick note about the website. You might have noticed a few subtle changes here and there. I have plans for future, bigger changes. Some of which are in the works behind the scenes right now. That may mean that posts are delayed or the website is temporarily down. I will do my best to keep you up to date with things as they progress. The changes include a bit of rebranding as well as an update in layout to the web page in general. I am also working on getting a mail list going for anyone who wants to stay in the know for happenings around MSE. Big things are certainly coming down the pike! So you will want to be in the know!

Currently, I am very driven to create content. Both for blog posts and for classes. Classes take a little more time  to produce. I am working hard but I am also excited and motivated. Things you can expect to see include revisiting older article series like Budget Scrapbooking and Let's Go 6x6 (scrapbooking with 6x6 paper pads). I will be continuing the Memoirs of a Design Team Addict Series and have created a few more such as In the Pockets of a Paper Scientist (which features insight into my pocket scrapbooking style). I have upgraded my video camera and gotten familiar with how it can best be used with my video editor. Expect to see more videos. Speaking of which, I have a new series which highlights a monthly recap of the top stories on MSE.

My goals are to help you along in your memory keeping journey. If you have any specific roadblocks, I would love to hear about them. Share in the comments, or write me a quick note. Chances are that I can help or I can refer you to someone who can.

As far as my personal scrapbooking goals went during May, I have to say I am pretty satisfied. I created 18 pages. It did not meet my goal to do a layout a day. I kind of pushed that off in favor of content creation and some behind the scenes planning that should end up being to your benefit later this summer.

We're continuing to record more episodes of the DigiScrap Geek Podcast. I am also pretty stoked about our new DSG Gear Store on Zazzle. I ordered myself a DSG Logo coffee mug tonight and can't wait to get my hands on it.

I have been talking a lot about photo editing lately and I wanted to let you in on a sale. If you are interested in Totally Rad Lab, they currently have a summer sale. Save 30% off everything in the store. Enter the code RADSAVINGS at checkout. The sale ends June 7th. I use the Totally Rad Lab plug in to edit my photos.  I highly recommend it. If you have a specific question about the plug in, direct it my way. Meanwhile, if you are interested( and want to support MSE by purchasing through our affiliate link) click here to browse the Totally Rad Store.

WOW. That feels like a whirlwind of an introduction to the month!I felt like I was talking a mile a minute. Happy June, Everyone! I wish you all a month full of time to create mixed with plenty of time for some wonderful summer memories.
